ACROPOLIS – ACROPOLIS MUSEUM: A DAY IN THE HEART OF HISTORY

The Acropolis of Athens, the iconic monument of classical antiquity, towers majestically over the city center. It is adorned by the Parthenon, a temple dedicated to the goddess Athena, a symbol of democracy and a masterpiece of ancient Greek architecture. Nearby stand the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, and the Erechtheion, renowned for its Caryatids. The history of the Acropolis dates back to prehistoric times, but its final form took shape in the 5th century BC, during Pericles’s “Golden Age.” Today, this sacred rock is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, drawing visitors from all over the globe.

• 08:30: Departure by bus from central Athens to the Acropolis hill.
• 09:00: Arrival at the Acropolis entrance. Ascent to the sacred rock and guided tour of the Parthenon, the Erechtheion, the Propylaea, etc.
• 10:30: Tour of the Acropolis Museum.
• 12:00: Free time to stroll around Dionysiou Areopagitou Street or a brief coffee break.
• 12:30: Return to the starting point or continue with further activities in the historic center (e.g., Plaka, Monastiraki).
